I'm official! The adventure part of my sabbatical has started. Although I'm currently in Japan, I did spend some time in the San Diego Central Public Library doing research, prior to my trip.
If you haven't seen the San Diego library's new building, it is worth a trip just to see the structure itself.

I wasn't sure how much I would find on Japan and the various textiles I would get to explore, but I was pleasantly surprised to see rows of books on fashion and textiles.
