Knits.... in Furniture Fabric

Knits are everywhere.  Here you can see a great fabric, used to cover a couch/sofa. If you look closely, you will see that it is a knit magnified, they sublimated onto fabric.

Ahh... Italian fashion, in furnishings.

Florence at Sunset

Reflections and shadows are constant themes in my photography. Here is Florence (Firenze) in the evening. I am looking at Ponte Vecchio, on the Arno River.

Italian Store Windows

There is nothing quite like window shopping in Italy. I find that if you see something you want to remember, you need to take the photo right away... because if you don't, the window will change.

Mickey and I are taking photos in Firenze (Florence)

This is the inside of a store, looking through the windows. Notice the contrast of old (ceiling) with new (lights).

A great display at Miss Sixty, in Firenze (Florence)

Panoramas of Venice, Venezia

I am so far behind on posting...

In June, I went to the Biennale in Venice. Here are a few panorama shots of San Marco square, taken with my little Canon camera.

Texture... a trend for Fall/Winter 14/15 Pitti Filati

One yarn display
Ciao!
I just finished two days at the Pitti Filati, which is a trend show for yarns that takes place in Florence Italy, twice a year.

If I had to pick one statement to make, regarding trends, it would be TEXTURE. The yarns are textured, the stitch patterns are textured, and the garments are textured.

Here are a few samples of different ways texture was created in the knit fabrics themselves.
