Cochenille Design Retreat, Great Location in New Mexico: Was it work or play?
In August we held our 16th Design Retreat, in New Mexico. I've blogged a bit about some of the site visits we made to artist studios. Now, I want to share the actual location of where we held our workshop.
We drove from Taos to Cimarron, New Mexico. There we stayed at the Casa del Gavilan, an old historic Inn. Our group basically took over the Inn.
We set up all the computers in the majestic living room. That left all the other rooms available for relaxation. The Inn keepers were amazing and put up with our antics. Thank you Robin and Dave. There was paper, printers, and computer cords everywhere!
Here you can see some shots of the Inn. We plan to return next year for another Garment Designer retreat. The tentative date would be around the second weekend in August, 2010.
